A very warm welcome to Highlands School of Egypt. I feel extremely fortunate to be the principal of a school with such wonderful children, a motivated and dedicated staff, and parents who work with us to create an environment that facilitates student learning through a wide variety of innovative and collaborative methods and activities.

We are looking forward to working as a team with your support as parents, to ensure that our students develop a love of learning that will better prepare them to become individuals and successful members of society. We want them to flourish in all aspects of their lives within a safe atmosphere of mutual support, respect and trust. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement and we are deeply dedicated to raising achievement levels, creativity and fulfilment in our students’ lives.

Finally, parental involvement in our school community is highly encouraged. Research demonstrates that such involvement is the number one factorin determining student success in school.  Parental involvement can take many forms. First and foremost, parental involvement means getting children to school every day and getting them there on time.  This can’t be stressed enough. READ to your child every evening. This helps students build their vocabulary and love of reading, as well as reinforces the importance of reading. Being present to monitor student homework, providing a quiet place for homework completion and being informed about progress and grades, as well as attending school events are all important to student success.
