The Highlands School of Egypt supports students learning beyond the classroom and school. Therefore, educational field trips are encouraged. Trips can either take place during the school day or may require students to stay somewhere on an overnight basis. All students attend at least 2 day trips throughout the year and Middle & High School/Key Stage 2 & 3 students have one overnight trip planned into their academic year. All trips are risk assessed and approved by the Principal. For the safety of our students, the ratio of supervisor to student in Early Childhood/EYFS is 1:5 and in Elementary School, Middle School and High School/ Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, is 1:8.

Prior to the trip, a signed parent permission form allowing the student to participate must be submitted to the school. Such forms will include a telephone number where by a parent may be contacted in case of an emergency.
